DERBY COUNTY TEAM NEWS

It will mark the second time this season that the Rams have taken on the Cod Army at Pride Park, with Paul Warne's men edging the league fixture 1-0 back in August thanks to a first half goal from striker Martyn Waghorn.

Midfielder Korey Smith (knee) was injured in the recent 2-1 home win over Bristol Rovers and missed the 1-0 success at Port Vale last week. He is continuing his work with the medical team and is set to miss out once again.

Striker Conor Washington (ankle) will be out of action for around three months with the ankle injury he picked up while on international duty with Northern Ireland last month. Defender Callum Elder (ankle) is back on the grass after a month out of action but remains missing for Tuesday evening's match.

Midfielder Liam Thompson (quad) is closing in on a return to training after a lengthy spell on the sidelines and will miss out once again. Defender Jake Rooney (knee) has undergone surgery on his damaged ACL and is set to be out of action for a lengthy period of time.

On loan Sunderland midfielder Elliot Embleton has returned to his parent club after injuring his quad in training last month and, after undergoing surgery, is to be out of action for several months.

LAST TIME THE TWO SIDES MET

Derby County 1-0 Fleetwood Town

Fleetwood Town fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat to Derby County on Saturday afternoon at Pride Park. In a game which saw both sides create gilt-edged chances, it was the hosts who took the spoils in Derbyshire as Martyn Waghorn’s first-half goal was enough to take all three points, despite Town having one chalked off and two more strikes hitting the woodwork.
