Midfielder Jordan Rossiter after Fleetwood Town fell to a 2-0 defeat at home to Swindon Town on Saturday afternoon in Sky Bet League One.

Fleetwood conceded early as the visitors took the lead through Scott Twine, the Swindon man then doubled the Robins’ advantage on the hour mark where the Cod Army couldn’t find a route back into the game and fell to defeat.

Here’s what he had to say:

On the match…

“The lads are all really disappointed, there are nine games to go, we have to forget about today which means we have to kick on. We have a break now which is disappointing because we can’t put things right immediately.

“Up to this point, we put a really good run together, but that has been cancelled out today, we were miles off it too be honest with you, it wasn’t through the lack of trying, sometimes these games happen. It’s a really disappointing result.

“We have a really good group of lads in the dressing room, we’ll bounce back and go again, and we can’t let the season peter out now and we won’t let that happen.

On the team’s aims…

“As a squad, we’re used to playing Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday but unfortunately that isn’t the case where we now need to use our time wisely, we can refresh and reset as it’s been a tough few games and we can get back on the training fields and put things right.”

“At the end of the day we’re still in the mixer, none of the lads look at the table as we’re in a situation where we can take it game by game and see where it takes us because, at the end of the day, we’re all disappointed with the result today.

“We have let ourselves down today and I’m sure we can bounce back and go again if you’re playing top of the table or bottom of the table you have a chance of winning and from the last few weeks today has been a bit of a reality check.”
