Uwe Rosler hailed his sides result at Bradford City on Tuesday night as ‘extraordinary’, as they beat the West Yorkshire side 3-0.

Three second half goals from Jordy Hiwula, Devante Cole and substitute Ash Hunter ensured Rosler’s side bounced back from two defeats in a row in stunning fashion.

The result was perhaps even more special considering The Bantams’ home record, only losing one in the league in 14 months before Tuesday’s game with the Cod Army.

“I think Bradford City are one of the best teams in the division,” added Rosler.

“They are one of the best footballing sides in the league. Their home record is the best in the league, and to come here and win is an extraordinary result.

“I know we were capable of that performance and that’s why I said in the pre match press conference that we are unpredictable. We are capable of putting a performance in like that; I think from the beginning to the end, we played the Fleetwood way."

The scores were level at the break, before Hiwula opened the scoring with a slick counter attack move, with Cole then tucking home from Kyle Dempsey’s cross. Hunter was on the pitch for a matter of seconds before completing the win.

“We executed our game plan well,” added Rosler.

“We blocked shots, we ran ourselves into the ground and we passed in the right areas. We looked very dangerous on the counter attack and we showed how good we are.

“It was a complete team effort. At half time I said to the strikers that they would win the game for us. They worked hard off the ball and I knew we would have a counter attack opportunity later in the game, and that is exactly how our goal came.

“It was a fantastic result. We were clinical today but we won’t get carried away. We need to recover now for the game this Saturday against Charlton Athletic.”
