Fleetwood Town were delighted to announce midfielder Barry Baggley had signed a new long-term contract with the club last season.
Baggley – who has featured for the first-team on seven occasions already – is a regular with the Northern Ireland international setup, and recently went on a two-game camp, where he netted against Scotland U21.
The 20-year-old put pen-to-paper keeping him at the club until the end of the 2023/24 season, with the club holding an option for another year.
He went out on loan to National League side, Altrincham - where he played three matches in a youth loan spell at the Greater Manchester side. He scored on his debut for Alty in their 2-1 defeat to Solihull Moors.
Baggley scored his first professional goal for Fleetwood Town in their final match of the 2021/22 season away at Bolton Wanderers. The midfielder scored the opening goal of the match, which ended in defeat for the Cod Army. Bar the result on the final day of the season, Fleetwood survived and avoided relegation.
