David Harrington signed for the Cod Army in January 2023 from Irish Champions Cork City on a long-term three-year contract.
Prior to signing for Town, Harrington’s performances in Cork’s title win earned him a place in the League of Ireland Team of the Year, as he managed to keep 17 clean sheets in only 33 games in his final season for the Rebel Army.
The goalkeeper started his career in the Cobh Ramblers’ youth setup, before making the move to Cork in 2018. He gained a very high reputation as one of the best prospects to come over the Irish Sea, catching the eye of many English clubs across the football League.
Harrington officially made the switch to the Cods in January 2023 on an undisclosed fee on a contract until the Summer of 2026.
