Fleetwood Town will face Crewe Alexandra's Under-18s in an 11am kick-off on Saturday morning, and here's a short match preview ahead of the Professional Development League match.
The Club's Under-18s will be in action on Saturday against Crewe, following their last fixture against the Posh which ended in a defeat on the road in midweek.
This will be a good chance for the red and white army to get back to winning ways, and supporters are invited down to watch the clash at Poolfoot Farm (FY5 4HX)
We caught up with Club legend and Academy Coach, Nathan Pond ahead of this weekend's clash:
"There are plenty of games coming up for the Under-18s. They are coming thick and fast and yes Tuesday's match disappointed us as a coaching staff, but it's important now the lads get back to our principles and showcase on Saturday what we are all about, especially those non-neogeoables.
"Myself and Yeatesy [Mark Yeates] spoke to the players after the Peterborough match, gave our thoughts to the group but we had our regular post-match review on Thursday and looked at how we can do better in all areas of the pitch.
"Crewe are our next opponents. We played them not so long ago so we know what a good footballing side they are. They like to pass it around and switch the play when they get the opportunity, and we know from years gone by how effective their Academy has been, bringing in some many graduates into their first team set up so we know it will be a challenge this weekend.
"We need to focus on ourselves and what we are good at and hopefully we can get back to winning ways come Saturday lunch time."
As with all the Academy matches, team news and key moments from the game will be reported on the Academy's official X page, with a report to follow on the website so you can look back to see how they go on.
