Fleetwood Town have had a number of young players out on loan at different levels across the footballing pyramid and we’ve had a look at how they’ve been doing over the last week.

Beginning in Greater Manchester with Pat Boyes who have only played one game since the last report, which ended in a 4-2 win over Bradford Park Avenue. After going down early in the clash, goals from Declan McLoughlin, Jordan Buckley, Aaron Bennett, and Trevon Bryan meant all three points would be heading back to Broadhurst Park with Boyes and his teammates.

Another player who featured in that game was Bosembo Namputu who played 78 minutes for Bradford PA before being subbed off for Mason O’Malley. The young midfielder has since played in his loan side’s fixture against Marine and created multiple chances in the 64 minutes he played before being subbed off for Justin Iwobi.

Town still have two youngsters out at King’s Lynn Town, with Owen Devonport starting their 2-2 draw against Buxton and George Morrison coming off the bench in the second half. Ben Stephens and Rogers both found the net that afternoon, with Devonport coming close as he was flagged offside as he was about to capitalise on the goalkeeper spilling the ball in the box.

The forward did more of the same in their draw away at Hereford in the game after, with both players starting that one, and it was an afternoon where they had to come back from two down and that they did thanks to goals from Tom Hughes and Cameron Hargreaves.

One player who hasn’t seen action since the last report is Finlay Armstrong at Rochdale AFC as they had their game against Wealdstone called off due to a frozen pitch at the weekend. The main news for the 20-year-old this week though is that he’s extended his loan and will stay at the Crown Oil Arena for another month.
