Fleetwood Town can confirm our Development Squad will now face Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur in the knockout stages of the Premier League Cup on Saturday 24 February at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
With the young Cods progressing through the group stages, they will now prepare themselves for their first-ever meeting against the Premier League side, with the game taking place at the fourth biggest football stadium in the country.
In the last Premier League Cup outing, Matt Lawlor’s side came away from Clitheroe’s EcoGiants Stadium 4-2 victors over Huddersfield Town thanks to a brace from Maleace Asamoah and further goals from Sam Fishburn and Theo Williams.
