Fleetwood Town are happy to announce defender Elijah Campbell has joined the club on loan from Premier League side Everton until the end of the season.
Campbell, who has featured multiple times for the England Under-18s set-up, heads to the Fylde Coast having made more than 40 appearances in Premier League 2 for The Toffees and has stepped up to play for the senior squad on six occasions over the last two seasons.
The 19-year-old regularly operates as a centre-half or a left-back initially made an impression at the Merseyside outfit when he managed 11 appearances during the 2020/21 season, as he starred for their Under-18s in an FA Youth Cup run which saw them reach the quarter-finals.
Manchester-born Campbell will now wear the number six shirt, made famous by Nathan Pond during the rise up the footballing pyramid, and will be eligible for Saturday’s Sky Bet League One clash against Port Vale at Highbury.
