Four Fleetwood Town players were in action over the weekend for their respective loan clubs, and with two on the scoresheet, we've got all the details you need to know.

Starting with our sister club over in Ireland, Maleace Asamoah and Barry Baggley both started for Waterford FC in their League of Ireland Premier Division opener at home to Shelbourne FC. Keith Long's side started the game like a house on fire and it was the man on-loan Asamoah who scored in the first three minutes of the match thanks to some quick thinking from goalkeeper Sam Sargeant.

The Blues found themselves one up at the break, and pushed on for that second goal but it just didn't come. After being announced the Club Captain last week, Baggley wear the armband with pride for the full 90 minutes, and led by example by putting in crucial tackles at crucial moments of the game.

The match finished 1-1 at the RSC against a side who will be competing in Europe, so there was plenty of postivies to take from Waterford FC ahead of their first away trip this Friday night. After his performance, Maleace was named in the League of Ireland Premier Division's first Team of the Week on Monday morning - congratulations, Maleace!

20231027 - Cian Hayes loan watch.jpg

Cian Hayes played 90 minutes for Rochdale on Saturday in their National League match at home to Solihull Moors. The tricky winger was a threat from the first whistle to the very last, and caused the Solihull left-back problems all afternoon.

Hayes scored in the 18th minute, making the scores level after Callum Maycock's opener nine minutes earlier. The young Nothern Ireland youth international could have scored a brace if it wasn't for the Solihull keeper, but the performance the loanee put in earned him the Man of the Match award from the match sponsors.

20240201 - Connor Teale Arbroath loan.jpg

Looking north of the border, Connor Teale made his Arbroath debut at the weekend in their away trip to Dunfermline. The game ended in a 1-1 draw with the defender more than playing his part in the match. With some lovely cross-field passes to big last ditched tackles, it was a debut for Teale to remember at KDM Group East End Park.

The game involving Owen Devonport and George Morrison at King's Lynn was postponed at Alfreton Town due to a waterlogged pitch, with the same reason for postponement at Atherton Collieries for Tom Donaghy's fixture for his new club.
