Fleetwood Town's Under-18s are back in action on Saturday morning as they welcome Queens Park Rangers to Poolfoot Farm for a Professional Development League fixture.
The match at Fleetwood's training ground (FY5 4HX) will kick-off at 11am on Saturday 9 September, and will give the youngs Cods an opportunity to put behind their defeat on the road at Colchester United last time round.
With an opening day victory over Watford, head coach Mark Yeates knows making their home fixtures count will be an indication if they are to have a successful season in a new league format since the Academy went Category Two earlier this year.
We caught up with Mark Yeates on Thursday to discuss his busy week being with the first team following the news of Scott Brown's departure, and the match ahead for his young side. Click HERE to watch the full interview on iFollow.
Forward Liam Roberts was also on media duty this week ahead of the QPR match, and the 16 year-old touched on how he has dealt with anger and frustration during his six year spell with the Club, and how he's using these new coping mechanisms to develop on the pitch for the Cods.
