Fleetwood Town can confirm that four players have been nominated for awards in the upcoming North West Football Awards, with two from the first team and two from the Wrens Ladies sides.
Following a great year on the pitch for both the first team and Wrens, with making FA Cup history and winning the league for the Reserve team, four Fleetwood Town players have been nominated for awards in this year's North West Football Awards.
Brendan Wiredu has quickly become a fans' favourite at Highbury after strong performances on the pitch and, after claiming numerous Player of the Month awards last season, he has been nominated for the League One Player of the Season award.

Carl Johnston has been nominated for the Rising Star award and, with over 50 appearances to his name, the young Northern Irishman hasn't looked back since making the move from Linfield back in 2018.

For Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies, Emily McCarthy has been nominated for the Women’s Player of the Season award, with Chloe Parkinson getting the nod in the category of Women's Rising Star for last season.
After winning the league title last season, the Wrens Ladies Reserves have gone from strength to strength, with the First Team going close in their race, but narrowly missing out on the top spot.
