Fleetwood Town and Zeal Golf teamed up on Sunday afternoon for a fantastic golf day which saw two members of the Town squad join people from the community in watching the Ryder Cup and taking on the new simulator golf challenges.
A huge number of friends and family came together on Sunday 1 October to play on famous golf courses with the mobile golf simulators - which was provided by local business, Zeal Golf.
The event started at midday challenged members of the public to take on the simulator in the Longest Drive and Pin Seeker challenge - which lead to prizes being won for those who were top of the leaderboards come the end of play.
Fleetwood Town defender Carl Johnson and goalkeeper Tom Donaghy were in attendance on Sunday - both showing off their golf skills at the training ground, and enjoying their day off watching Europe bring it home.
With the Ryder Cup live on our big screen, when people dropped their clubs back in their bags, they sat down with food and drinks and watch Team Europe bring home the trophy after a 16.5 to 11.5 win over Tem USA. Tommy Fleetwood was the man to clinch the title for this year, with fan's favourite Rory McIlroy showing his class with four points won over the three day event.
It was fantasitc to see many turn out for this event, with both adults and children, and we hope you all went home with smiles on their faces.
We wil hopefully look to get the guys from Zeal Golf back soon for another top session at Poolfoot Farm. If you'd like to know more about Zeal Golf, you can click HERE to visit their website.
