Fleetwood Town can confirm Barry Nicholson left the club earlier this month to pursue new ventures within the industry.
Barry, who served the Club as a player and a coach, was a favoured figure around Highbury Stadium by all involved with the club and it is sad to see the 11-year association come to an end.
The former midfielder first joined Fleetwood as a player back in the 2012/13 season and featured 30 times that year – netting two goals in that time – before re-joining in 2014 as the Development Squad’s coach, looking after Town’s future professionals.
With nine years of graft, which included his time with the young players at the peak of the Academy, then as Caretaker Head Coach back in 2018, before becoming a full-time first-team coach under the reign of Joey Barton and there on after, he's been involved in the progression of the Cods.
