Fleetwood Town can confirm defender Billy Jones has today joined National League North side King's Lynn Town on an initial one month loan.
Jones will now join up with Development Squad teammate George Morrison in Norfolk, who joined King's Lynn last Friday afternoon on a one month full-time loan deal after an impressive start to life with Fleetwood's Under-21s.
The young full-back completed his two year scholarship with Fleetwood Town and was recently offered a two-year professional deal on the Fylde Coast.
The 18-year-old is a versatile defender who can play either side of the back line, but can also offer much up the pitch in attacking positions, as well as in the heart of midfield with his pace, power and aggression being some of his key attributes.
Academy Manager, Jack Higgins said on the move: "This is another great move for a young professional at Fleetwood to experience his first loan move at a National League North side, which is a very competitive standard.
"We'd like to thank King's Lynn for their cooperation and trust in offering Billy this opportunity to join them on a full-time loan basis and we are really pleased to be able offer Billy these experiences. He will have to learn to fend for himself in a new environment on and off the pitch and these can only help our young players out on loan.
"This move we feel will be really beneficial for Billy's development at this stage in his career."
