Fleetwood Town are back in action on Tuesday night as they play their final match in this season's EFL Trophy group competition, with Leicester City's Under-21s the visitors to Highbury Stadium for a 7pm kick-off.

Fixture: Fleetwood Town v Leicester City U21s

Competition: The Bristol Street Motors Trophy

Date: Tuesday 7 November 2023

Kick-off: 7pm BST

Venue: Highbury Stadium

The visitors to Highbury have had a mixed run of form over the last few weeks, and will be looking for a positive result on Tuesday night as a win would see them leapfrog Lee Johnson's side into second play and see them progress into the first round of the knockout stages. A draw wouldn't be enough for the Foxes who sit one point behind Fleetwood on three points.

Their only win in this competition was a narrow 1-0 victory over Tranmere Rovers. Silko Thomas scored the only goal of the game in the 9th minute, and the Foxes will be hoping another one of his goals can help secure their place in the top two. In their opening game, Wigan Athletic scored seven past them with Leicester only able to reply with one goal back. They'e learnt a lot since that game at the DW Stadium.

Last time out against Chelsea, Ben Nelson's equaliser in the final 10 minutes earned Leicester City Development Squad a point away at Chelsea in Premier League 2 action. City's youngsters remain unbeaten in their last two after a 1-0 win over Tranmere Rovers in the EFL Trophy last time out.
