Fleetwood Town can confirm Sam Glenfield and Jack Doherty have been called up to the Northern Ireland Under-19s setup for their upcoming UEFA Prep Tournament in Northern Ireland.
The duo will meet up with their fellow countrymen on Sunday 12 November ahead of their upcoming games against Hungary, Czech Republic and Portugal. Both players will then return back to the Fylde Coast ten dats later on Wednesday 22 November 2023.
Most recently, Doherty was away with Northern Ireland's Under-17s for their Under-17s UEFA Qualifiers in Italy. Jack - alongside teammate and best friend, Conor Haughey, the two helped their nation to a point against the hosts Italy in a memorable result at the Stadio Valentino Mazzola, and a win in their final match against San Marino.
With this tournament on home soil being preparation for the UEFA Under-19s Tournament, Northern Ireland will play three matches with the times and dates as followed:
Wednesday 15 November - Northern Ireland v Hungary - 7pm - Inver Park, Larne
Saturday 18 November - Northern Ireland v Czech Republic - 7pm - Inver Park, Larne
Tuesday 21 November - Northern Ireland v Portugal - 7pm - Inver Park, Larne
