Fleetwood Town can confirm the club are set to host Grimsby Town on Saturday 29 July in a pre-season friendly at Highbury Stadium.
After the announcement of a home fixture against Preston North End yesterday afternoon, the Club have now added a further fixture which will take place the week against the Mariners before our Sky Bet League One campaign starts.
Scott Brown’s squad will be the first to face off against a Grimsby side in Fleetwood strips since March 2012 when both Andy Mangan and Jamie Vardy scored in a 2-1 home win, keeping up the unbeaten streak against Grimsby – 4 wins and zero losses.
So far this summer, the Cods have announced two friendlies before this as a trip over the Irish Sea to face Waterford FC is confirmed for Tuesday 4 July before Preston heads to Highbury on Tuesday 25 July – with more set to be announced soon.
Ticket details for this fixture will be released in due course.
