Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies were in action on Sunday afternoon, with all three picking up wins in their respective fixtures!
The Wrens Ladies First Team were in action against Curzon Ashton in the NWWRFL Premier Division, and they came away 2-1 winners in the match thanks to two goals from Sophie Slater. The team battled it out against a strong Curzon Ashton side, and with grit and determination, managed to get the job done to make it three wins on the bounce.
The Wrens Ladies Reserves were also in another battle on Sunday afternoon as they faced off against Langho Football Club. It was a brilliant three points picked up by the girls who won the match 6-2. C.Daniel and E.Duffy each grabbed a brace, with E.McCarthy and L.Wright scoring the other two goals.
To wrap up the perfect weekend, the Wrens Ladies Development Squad beat fellow Lancashire side, Morecambe Ladies 2-1. Siobian Fryers was the difference as her two goals sealed a very important win. It was a battle like you would expect in a local derby and it was a performance that pleased the coaching staff on the day.
