With Fixture Release Day just 10 days away, we thought we’d give you a recap of some key dates and bits of information you will need going into the 2023/24 Sky Bet League One season.

After the conclusion of the play-offs, which took place at the end of May, the final few teams joining the Cods in League One were confirmed as Carlisle United beat Salford City in the league blow, whilst Sheffield Wednesday climbed out of the division after their win over Barnsley.

As mentioned, the fixture will be out in just over a week’s time, with the official date being Thursday 22 June and you will be able to keep up to date with all the action on that day either on our website or social media.

The opening weekend of the League One season will take place between 4-6 August, with the first game likely to be played that Friday live on Sky Sports.

Two cup finals will be played at Wembley before the season’s end in May 2024 as the Carabao Cup Final is set to be played on Sunday 24 February 2024, and the EFL Trophy Final will follow that on Sunday 7 April.

The season-ending Sky Bet EFL Play-Offs will once again be staged at Wembley Stadium, this time across two weekends in May 2024 - the League One Play-Off Final will start proceedings on Saturday 18 May 2024.
