Fleetwood Town can confirm the club are set to host Blackburn Rovers on Friday 21 July in a pre-season friendly at Highbury Stadium, in a 7pm kick-off.
With fixture release day just around the corner, all eyes will be on the games ahead of the season as excitement starts to build in Fleetwood and the surrounding areas.
Blackburn haven’t been to Highbury Stadium since August 2020, where they faced off against the likes of Ched Evans and Paul Coutts, with spectators not able to attend due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This home clash against Rovers comes after announcements for friendlies against our sister club in Ireland, Waterford FC, on Tuesday 4 July, and two more home fixtures against Preston North End (Tuesday 25 July), and Grimsby Town (Saturday 29 July).
