Fleetwood Town's Former Players Association met up at Poolfoot Farm on Thursday morning for their monthly meeting, where the whole group got to check out the dome for the very first time.
The meeting started off in the usual fashion as all the members gathered around Stuart Murdoch who spoke about upcoming events which members can get involved in, with one being the annual golf day at Fleetwood Golf Club.
After Ang Hargreaves made everyone a brew, it was time for the FPA to head to the new dome, which was officially opened a few weeks ago to the public. With a few wanting to get their boots on and have a kickabout, it was a time to reflect for many on how far the football club has come in such a short space of time.
This month, those in attendance also took part in an quiz from the one and only, Kevin Byrne! Members had to name as many members of the England 1966 and 1998 World Cup squad as they could before naming as many teams who featured in the 2022/23 National League.
The winner claimed a fantastic prize, with that being a pair of Scott Brown's boots - which the group decided to put up for auction and to donate the amount to charity.
With the sun shining down on Poolfoot Farm, it was a chance for people to get outside and top up their tans whilst also watching the pitch renovations taking place on the elite pitches.
The FPA would like to thank everyone who attended the meeting. We are looking forward to seeing you all at Poolfoot Farm once again on Thursday 6 July 2023 at 10am.
