Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce the signing of young forward Sam Fishburn who joins our Development Squad on a one-year contract, with the club holding an option for a further year.
The centre-forward, who has earned valuable first-team experience so far, signs for Town from fellow Sky Bet League One side Carlisle United, where he made his first-team debut at the age of 17, following a hugely successful first loan spell at Lancaster City.
Since his debut, the 19-year-old has gone on to feature in 14 games in all competitions, with nine of those coming in League Two, before making a further six appearances on loan at Blyth Spartans last season, as well as featuring for Morpeth Town.
Fishburn will now join up with Matthew Lawlor’s Development Squad as they return to pre-season training at Poolfoot Farm and will meet his new teammates this week.
Welcome to Town, Sam!
