It might have been a while since you last saw him, but Captain Cod has made his way back into the local community as he visited primary school Great Arley on Tuesday afternoon.
The captain surprised the students at the Thornton-based school in the assembly hall during one of the Community Trust’s regular sessions there and the kids looked thrilled to see him!
With Phil Bowker, one of our Trust’s Community Engagement Coaches, leading the group and Captain Cod running as his backup, it was set to be a great session with everyone there.
To help celebrate the visit, and to continue the partnership with the school, the students have been invited down to Poolfoot Farm next week as part of Disability Awareness Day and will also attend a game at Highbury next season!
