Waterford Tour Diary: Day Six

With it being the penultimate day of the tour in Ireland, another double sessions was on the agenda as the players prepared for Saturday's match against Dundee FC.

The big news on Friday was that head coach Scott Brown had signed a new two-year deal at the club, keeping him on the Fylde Coast until the summer of 2025. After 422 day at the helm, the former Celtic captain sat down for an interview, where he discussed his delight for extending his say, as well as rounding up the trip in Ireland. 
 

With focus now back on training ahead of Saturday's friendly match against newly-promoted Scottish Premier League side, Dundee, the lads had a double session with the first being a combination of a gym session with Youl Mawene, before heading outside for taking part in small sided games, patterns of play and a group sprint session.

After lunch at The Tower Hotel in the centre of Waterford, Phoenix Patterson spoke to the media about his first pre-season tour with the Cod Army, as well as his return to Southern Ireland, which saw the forward play agaisnt his former club at the RSC. Click HERE to watch the full interview.

The afternoon session was a light one. The lads opened it up with a fun game before heading into rondos. This lead to the players going into some shape work, which was the final prepartions ahead of the match this weekend.
