Waterford Tour Diary: Day One

Day one in Waterford has come to an end and it’s been a busy one for the Fleetwood Town squad with travelling, training, and resting all throughout the day.

The day started off with staff and players making their way to Manchester Airport for a 5:30am meet, with the flight set to take off three hours later.

After all the bags were collected and everyone was through security, it was time to relax for a while before jumping on the plane for the one-and-a-half-hour flight.

A coach journey followed landing in Cork, which would take over an hour to reach the place they would be staying for the next seven days in Ireland.

Scott Brown and the staff allowed the players to have a few hours to acquaint themselves with the local surroundings before starting the first drill of the trip and it was a rough one.

With the staff getting involved, everyone had a 45-minute run at one of SETU Arena’s many pitches – which was gruelling for all involved, but all made it through without injury.

Here’s to day two!
