Now we’re into the latter half of the pre-season tour in Waterford, double sessions are on the agenda as the players prepare for the next outing on Saturday.
After yesterday’s run, everyone was pleased to get back onto the training pitch for a regular session in the morning, but first, they had to head to the gym at the SETU Arena for a warm-up session with Youl Mawene.
They all worked up a sweat in there and, once Youl was happy with all the data, the squad made their way outside for a session which consisted of small games, light training, and some technical drills.
The same was to happen in the afternoon drill, but the weather turned for the worse after midday as the heavens opened meaning it was slippery conditions for all involved.
Outside of the training sessions, the interview that was mentioned in the last diary entry with fan Donna Whittaker is now live on the website so if you want to watch that, you can click the link here.
Also, good news fell on the training camp as defender Harrison Holgate penned a new two-year deal with the club, meaning he would be staying on the Fylde Coast until the summer of 2025 – you can read about it here.
