Fleetwood Town can confirm that young forward Will Russ has joined Northern Premier League Premier Division side Marine AFC on a short-term loan deal.
The forward is part of the club’s Development Squad, and has already spent time out on loan whilst at Town, initially joining FC United of Manchester in September 2022, before heading to the North East to South Shields a month later, and then moving to Hyde where he spent the last part of the 2022/23 season.
Russ scored five goals in seven matches in his first spell at Hyde United before it was extended, making an instant impact in the final third.
Academy Manager, Jack Higgins spoke on the move: "This is another good opportunity for Will to go out and play senior football at a really well ran football club - who are also competing at a good level of non-league.
"Marine have shown strong interest in Will for a while and hopefully they will provide the platform for Will to develop into the striker we all want him to be."
