FLEETWOOD TOWN

The Cods head into their second home pre-season friendly match after an impressive display against Championship outfit, Blackburn Rovers. Despite the match finishing goalless, Scott Brown's side created many opportunities throughout the 90 minutes, which was pleasing for the gaffer and those in attendance.

Town played three of their four summer signings, with the club's latest recruit Ryan Graydon starting up top alongside forward Jack Marriott, with former Plymouth Argyle midfielder Danny Mayor featuring in the middle of the park with Scott Robertson and Josh Vela.

With valuable minutes in the legs of key players, Brown hinted in his post-match press conference that there could be changes for the match on Tuesday night. He also stated that it's about getting performances out of the lads, and it not necessarily being about the result. However with the Carlisle United coming up in just under two weeks times, that will be the game where it all counts with three points on the line.

PRESTON NORTH END

The Lilywhites have had a mixed pre-season thus far, losing one of their games 1-0 away at Barrow, 2-1 against Ipswich Town, but then beating Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen 2-0 at Deepdale on Saturday afternoon.

The difference at the weekend was a brace for summer signing Mads Frøkjær’s. It was the Danish international's first goals for the club after making his debut for the North West Club a few days earlier when Ipswich Town paid a visit to Lancashire.

Preston have been busy in the transfer market this window, bringing in Mads from Danish side Odense BK for a fee believed to be around £1.3m. With former Scunthorpe United and Huddersfield playmaker Duane Holmes added to the ranks, alongside a return for forward Will Keane from Wigan Athletic - who were relegated from the Championship last season.

In terms of loanees, Ryan Lowe has signed two Liverpool youngsters. The first being Calvin Ramsay who plays at right back, and Layton Stewart - who is an exciting young centre forward who will be looking to have his break with a spell away from the Reds.
