Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce head coach Scott Brown has signed a new two-year contract with the club, meaning he will stay on the Fylde Coast until 2025.

Brown had a successful first campaign as his side finished comfortably in League One, bolstered the ranks ahead of the 2023/24 season, and guided Town to their best-ever Emirates FA Cup run - reaching the fifth round of the competition.

The 38-year-old made the step into management for the first time just over a year ago, with Fleetwood being his maiden job after what was an incredible playing career.

He led Glasgow Celtic to 23 major trophies during a career spanning 20 years, including 55 caps for his native Scotland.

After signing his new deal, Brown said: “I’m glad to have got the deal over the line, it’s been a brilliant first year in the job and can’t wait for the new season to start.

“I’ve been made to feel right at home by the Fleetwood staff, players, and fanbase so I just want to give everything I can to bring success to the town, hopefully starting with a win on Saturday.”

Congratulations on the new deal, gaffer!
