Both Barry Baggley and Chris Conn-Clarke have started their tenure at our sister club in Ireland, Waterford FC, with a bang as both managed find the back of the net in their 2-0 win over Shamrock Rovers on Sunday afternoon.
With every update given by the club, it seemed that whilst the lads on loan were on the pitch, they were involved in every single attack throughout the game, which is great to see. The club also had a game at the end of January, which ended in a 1-1 draw against Cobh Ramblers.
It was more good news for the lads at Colne as young defender Tom Hoyle added another to his season tally for the Lancashire side in a home win over Runcorn Linnets, and it was a pivotal one, when he unleashed a 30-yard strike which flew past the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.
With Will Russ featuring in the last loan watch after scoring for Hyde United, it was a tough clash against Callum Dolan’s former side, Warrington Rylands, on the cards and it wasn’t the result they were wanting as they fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat at the Project Solar Stadium.
