It’s been a brilliant campaign so far in the Youth Cup for Mark Yeates’ side as they hope to replicate what our Academy has accomplished multiple times in recent years and progress past the third phase of the competition on home turf.
They’ve had a tale of twos so far this year as the first round ended in a 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium, then the second round saw the Young Cods play out a 2-1 win over Lancashire rivals Morecambe, and now they will try to face the Reds at Highbury for the second time this month.
