For the Ladies Wrens this weekend, it was only the reserves who were in pre-season action on Sunday as they travelled away to take on Mancunian Unity Womens' Football Club.
The match was another great opportunity for important pre-season minutes for the Reserves Ladies, with the new season not that far away.
As the match kicked-off, the Ladies struggled to find their rhythm in the early exchanges and found themselves 3-0 down after three costly unusual mistakes.
The Ladies came out a much better side in the second half and began to play the football the coaching staff knew they could, with some fantastic spells and super chances created throughout and soon they found themselves on the score sheet.
It was great to see the Ladies find their flow later, who were able to match Mancunian in the second half, and were unlucky not to find the back of the net more then once in the second half, after several attempts including one being saved off the line, aswell as a Mancunians' keeper saving a pen!
Despite the loss, there were lots of positives to take from the second half, and it's brilliant for the Ladies finish off preparation for the season.
