Fleetwood Town’s Development Squad have no time for rest after their opening day victory on Tuesday as they are set to travel down south tomorrow afternoon to face Watford in a 2pm kick-off.
Matt Lawlor’s side started their Professional Development League in an almost perfect way in midweek when Cardiff City came to the Fylde Coast, with that game ending in a 4-1 victory for the Cods.
Defender Josh Edwards opened the scoring early on in that clash with a beautiful strike from the edge of the box, with Theo Williams quickly making it two, solidifying a strong start to the game.
Player & coach Nathan Pond made it three to the good before grabbing an assist for Tom Hoyle’s header late on to make it four goals on the first day of the season.
