Fleetwood Town's Former Players Association met up on Thursday morning for their monthly meeting, and it's fair to say there were plenty of laughs and memories shared.
On Thursday, Town's Former Players met ahead of the new 2023/24 Sky Bet League One season at Poolfoot Farm, and were busy taking part in quizzes, watching the first team team on the Elite Pitch whilst also catching up with famililar faces.
With all the meetings, it started with the opening remarks from Stuart Murdoch and Phil Brown, letting the guys know what has been going on behind the scenes, talking about future events and reading out birthday's that have taken place since the July catch-up.
The talking didn't stop there, as it was for the one and only Quiz Master Kevin Byrne to take to the microphone to deliver as only he can, many multiple questions to the whole group. With Phil Brown taking the win after a round of sudden death, it was Byrne who then started another game of higher or lower with those wanting to claim the title.
As the group gathered for a team photo outside Poolfoot Farm, members grabbed a cup of coffee and started reminiscing on old times, looking back at memorabilia in the form of photographs, teammates and match programmes. With the new EFL season starting this week, players were thinking back to their opening fixtures playing in the Fleetwood shirts.
The FPA would like to thank everyone who attended the meeting on Thursday. The FPA are looking forward to seeing you all and new members at Poolfoot Farm once again on Thursday 7 September 2023 at 10am.
