A number of Fleetwood Town players were out in the Community last week to visit the four sports camps that have been running for the last five weeks during the summer holidays.

The players went out and took part in a variety of sports in Thornton, Fleetwood, Poulton, and Preesall for the Sports Camps -

The day started off with Town defender Carl Johnston visiting the Communuity Sports College, who were enrolling students onto the programme for September after the A Level results were announced. CJ spent time with students, asking about the journey, their results and why they chose to join Fleetwood Town's Sports College.

The Northern Ireland youth international then joined new signing Bosun Lawal down at the Poolfoot Farm Sports Camp, where the two both refereed a match before taking part in a Q&A in the cages, talking about their time as young footballers and their aspirations this season playing at Fleetwood Town.

Ryan Graydon and Junior Quitirna headed down to Carleton Green to see the children at the sports camp. The duo took part in a number of games with the pupils, signing autographs and taking pictures with all those in attendance.

Josh Earl, Phoenix Patterson and Cian Hayes visited the two other sports camps, and like the previous visit at Carleton Green, the players mucked in and played games, spoke to those on the camp and put smiles on many faces before all camps closed for another summer.

It was a brilliant afternoon in the community – here’s to doing it all over again soon in the next half-term!
