Fleetwood Town can announce the first team will be travelling to Italy next week for a short training camp during the international break.

After it was announced on Thursday that Fleetwood’s fixture against Oxford United was postponed, due to the international call ups, the team are now off to the banks of Como for a three-day training camp.

Winger Paddy Lane has already been called up to the Northern Ireland senior squad for their UEFA Nations League fixtures against Kosovo and Greece, with more call-ups set to be announced ahead of the weekend.

Scott Brown and his side will jet off to Como after the Carlisle United game in the Papa John’s Trophy and during their time in the Southern tip of Lake Como in northern Italy, they will play one match behind-closed-doors against Como 1907.

Como 1907, commonly referred to as Como, are an Italian football club who currently play in Serie B, the second tier of Italian football, following promotion from the 2020–21 Serie C season.

Former Arsenal and Premier League legend Cesc Fabregas currently plays for the Club after joining them in August 2022, with Cesc’s former teammates and Gunners’ legend, Thierry Henry being an investor and minority stakeholder of the Club.
