Fleetwood Town’s Academy welcomed 16 local grassroots football teams to the Club’s £10m training complex at Poolfoot Farm to take part in a mini-league tournament.
Over 150 young aspiring footballers made the trip to Poolfoot Farm last Saturday to take part in a football festival.
The 16 teams were split into two groups and played seven matches each, giving the players a lot of time on the pitch to showcase their skills and play the game they love with smiles on their faces.
With plenty of talent on show, it was Fylde Coast Soccer Cruyff and Wren Rovers Blues who topped their respective groups, but the day wasn’t about winning, it was about children having fun.
We’d like to thank local photographer, Nikki (Purple Peg Photography) for coming down on the day to capture the whole event from start to finish. Nikki’s images are available to purchase, and you can find the full gallery HERE!
The Academy would like to thank all the teams and the parents for making the festival run as smoothly as possible, and also wish the teams the very best for the upcoming season.
