Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce an agreement has been reached to sign Scottish defender Shaun Rooney.
The 25-year-old will become new Town Head Coach Scott Brown’s first summer signing, beating off competition from a number of Scottish Premiership and EFL club’s for his signature.
Rooney played a huge part in St Johnstone’s survival in the Scottish Premiership last season playing 32 times and scoring in their play-off win against Inverness on Monday night.
The defender has agreed a two-year deal at Highbury Stadium, subject to international clearance.
