Fleetwood Town’s Former Players Association (FPA) were back at Poolfoot Farm on Thursday morning, to discuss their annual golf day and to also share memorabilia.
To start off their monthly catch-up, the Club’s former players all arrived at the training complex for tea and coffee, and a quick chat with all the other members as well as the staff on site.
The FPA Secretary, Phil Brown, then took the stage at Thursday catchup in front of the group and announced the monthly birthdays as well as other notices that the players may have needed to know for the next four weeks.
With a quiz taking place, Kevin Byrne took centre-stage as Quiz Master and had the whole room engaged, with the former players showcasing their competitive side once again – in the end Kevin announced there were no winners and it was all for fun!
The group also reminisced their trip to Fleetwood Golf Club last month. With many dusting off their golf clubs for this one event, looking back at the putts and the misses made some questioning whether to put the irons away, or to keep them out for the summer.
The FPA would like to thank everyone who attended the meeting and wanted to say that they look forward to seeing you at Poolfoot Farm once again on Thursday 4 August at 10am.
