Six of Fleetwood Town’s young players were on show for their respected loan sides in the last week, with one of them finding the back of the net from a free-kick – here’s how they got on.

It was a loan watch clash between Kendal Town and Marine on Saturday afternoon with four of our players featuring in the game. For Kendal, the Fleetwood trio – Billy Batch, Danny Edwards, and Akiel Raffie – started and finished the game with Australian midfielder Raffie showing what he can do in the game from set pieces as he found the top right corner with a free-kick.

Connor Teale came off the bench for Marine during the half-time break, with the side from Liverpool winning the game 4-1 at the Marine Travel Arena. Once the defender entered the pitch, his side stayed strong at the back and didn’t concede with him playing in their defensive line.

Harry Wilson came off the bench in FC United of Manchester’s 2-1 win over Stalybridge Celtic in the 66th minute, for Charlie Ellis, and helped the side see out their win at Broadhurst Park. He came on at 2-0 and even though the away side notched a late goal, they still came away with the three points.

One of the two players on loan at AFC Blackpool featured at the weekend, where they lost the game against Nelson 3-0 on the day. Forward Harry Clarke played 55 minutes in that game, whilst goalkeeper Connor Eastham sat out due to an injury he endured in the last outing.

Keep up the good work, lads!
