Fleetwood Town's Under-18s lost out to Blackpool in their latest Youth Alliance fixture, which finished 2-0 to the visitors at Poolfoot Farm on Saturday.
Town seemed to adjust to the tricky conditions right from the off, working multiple chances that troubled the ‘Pool goalkeeper, but none of them were able to get past the number one.
Soon after, the visitors took the lead as Dannen Francis headed his chance past Luc Rees after a goalmouth scramble, with the ball only just passing the goal line. They then doubled their advantage just before the half-time break through a close-range effort from Arnold Matshazi, which seemed to settle the tie at the club’s training complex.
