Fleetwood Town head coach Scott Brown spoke to the media after seeing his side win 2-1 on the road at MK Dons in their Sky Bet League One clash.

After Carl Johnston levelled things up for the Cods, birthday boy Dan Batty stepped up to fire Town to victory.

Here's what the gaffer had to say in his post-match interview:

On the performance…

“I’m just delighted for the lads; It was great what we managed to get from Ipswich and this week was always going to be a different game. MK Dons tried to control the game like we did but I think we deserved it over the second half.”

Second half was great with CJ [Carl Johnston]. His attitude has been great the last four of five weeks has been spot on, and today it showed – it proves why we trusted him at left-back.

“Yeah definitely, it’s great for him [Dan Batty] to score a goal. Not just for his birthday but for us as well.”

On the team spirit…

“It shows that never say die attitude that we have. The lads have got to believe that and have the faith in us, but also, we must then put that faith in them.

“We made the substitutes, Hayesy [Cian Hayes] comes on and gets the assist as well so yeah it’s the impact of the whole team that is so good.”

“I heard the fans all game, it was brilliant to be fair. I saw a couple of lads in their t-shirts so they must have been enjoying it. It always puts a smile on my face.”
