Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies narrowly lost out 3-2 to Salford City Lionesses on Sunday afternoon at Poolfoot Farm in their first league match of the season.
The Wrens played a hard fought game, and despite going two goals down early in the match, they did well to get themselves back into the contest - scoring two quick goals to make it 2-2 with only minutes left on the clock.
There was late heartbreak for the Cods as Salford scored with literally the last kick off the game, giving the visitors the win on the day in the opening league match.
