Former Players meet up and watch training down at Poolfoot Farm

Fleetwood Town’s Former Players Association (FPA) were back on Thursday morning with more than 30 members, holding a successful meeting at Poolfoot Farm!

The meeting started in the usual fashion as all the members gathered around FPA Chairman Stuart Murdoch and Secretary Phil Brown as they did the opening remarks, mentioning all the events coming up as well as the 92nd birthday of Ronnie Bellwood, which is on 11 August.

It was FPA quizmaster Kevin Byrne in action again as he hosted yet another Fleetwood-based mind-tester for all those who attended, with questions on the members' playing days and even some from recent times to test the memory.

As everyone was chatting, the Malcolm Denning library made its return to the meetings as many more books were donated by the Former Players - the library now takes up almost three tables so there's plenty to take home and read for all the members!

The FPA would like to thank everyone who attended the meeting and wanted to say that they look forward to seeing you at Poolfoot Farm once again on Thursday 1 September at 10am.
