Fleetwood Town’s Academy are delighted to announce that they have formed an exciting partnership with local grassroots team, Fleetwood Town Juniors (FTJFC).
The Category-3 Academy, which are always looking to branch out into the local community, has forged another connection to grassroots football through FTJFC, with their partnership starting with immediate effect.
Fleetwood are looking to support the youth team as they look to build on their existing system, with our Academy helping the side build on their coach and player development programme.
Jack Higgins, the Head of Academy at Fleetwood Town, said on the partnership: “We are delighted to formalise the relationship with Fleetwood Town Juniors. We want to help the development of players on the Fylde Coast and will support the Juniors in doing that. We are really looking forward to working with them more closely.”
Fleetwood Town Juniors and Club Secretary Chris Morton added: “I’m really pleased to finally make this partnership between FTFC and FTJFC an official one. We’ve enjoyed an excellent relationship with the Club for a number of years and one of the areas I have always wanted to increase is the access to excellent coaching for our players and also CPD for our coaching volunteers.
“The benefits to both clubs are clear to see; we gain some excellent opportunities for our children and volunteers and FTFC gains a partner with a like-minded approach to player development, where our parents and players can see a true progression for their children into potential academy football. We are right on each other’s doorstep so it is a win-win for both Clubs.”
Welcome aboard, Juniors!
