All three of the Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies teams were in action at the weekend and here is a round-up of how they did in their respected fixtures.

First Team

Merseyrail Ladies 2-0 Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies

The first-team took on a strong Merseyrail side at Admiral Park in Liverpool on Sunday and, even though they performed valiantly from start to finish, they fell short and lost 2-0 on the day. The Wrens Ladies put the result behind them straight away as they are already looking forward to their next game, which takes place on Sunday 17 October.

Town squad: Ashton, Etheridge, Hunter, Gordon, Haydock, Jones, E.Slater, S.Slater, Oatley, Wilcock, Lord, Boswell, Parkinson, Payton

Reserves

Stanwix FC Ladies & Girls 3-2 Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies Reserves

After a week off, the Reserves returned to action as they travelled to Carlisle to face Stanwix FC at Gilford Park Stadium. It was a strong display from the side, working hard at both ends of the pitch and, even though Carmel Daniel and Islay Aitken both found the back of the net, they weren’t able to take anything from the game.

Jordan O’Neill, Emily Crook, and Ashleigh Crook all made it on to the score sheet on the day, with E.Crook and Bethanne Bullion being named the best players in the game.

Town squad: C.O’Neill, Duffy, Dunning, A.Crook, E.Crook, J.O’Neill, Hague, Horton, Bullion, Pepper, Fail
