In this week’s Throwback Thursday article, we are looking back at our 4-3 win over Bury at Gigg Lane in the 2014/15 Sky Bet League One season.
Even though the hosts took the lead early on, through a Leon Clarke goal, Conor McLaughlin evened it up soon after to bring the game back to level terms. Bury then took the lead once again two minutes later but an onslaught of chances by Fleetwood then changed the tie.
Tyler Hornby-Forbes scored Town’s second on the day, with further goals coming from Jamie Proctor and Antoni Sarcevic, who converted from the penalty spot, meaning they would find themselves 4-2 up on the day. Danny Rose pulled one back for Bury late in the clash to make a nervy end, but Fleetwood managed to hold out.
