Fleetwood Town’s stadium announcer Rod Allswoth has lifted the lid on 14 years behind the mic at Highbury Stadium in a special podcast, out now.
The voice of Highbury talks about how he took the role, his favourite manager to work with, most memorable game and even the story behind the now legendary ‘Pugwash’ goal music as he appears on ‘We Welcome Your Teams’ alongside Manchester United’s Alan Keegan.
“It’s been an incredible journey through the divisions at Fleetwood and it’s been a pleasure to have seen it all really,” said Rod.
“I was asked to do a podcast about my time, and it was great fun, I think it paints the club in the right light and will give the Cod Army a few laughs too.”
