Fleetwood Town are proud to announce the club will be supporting Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces campaign this weekend in our league clash against Gillingham.
Rainbow Laces has always campaigned to make sport everyone’s game. They have focused on inspiring, educating, and encouraging allyship to support LGBT inclusion in sport.
Stonewall’s campaign focus is ‘Lace Up and Speak Up’. To create a broader, louder, and more impactful movement for LGBTQ+ inclusion in sport, with the hope that every conversation will take them one step closer to achieving their ambition of making sport all inclusive.
Community and allyship have carried the country through the pandemic and have shown the importance of sport in terms of how it has brought everyone together. So many LGBT people and allies have been doing amazing work to make sport everyone’s game, with the EFL hosting their very first LGBTQ+ Fans’ Forum last month.
We’re proud to support the campaign this weekend and look forward to the game!
